For today’s JJIJ post, I thought I’d get creative with a new gadget.
I’ve been trying to find a decent gif making app for a while and I seem to have discovered a pretty good free one, so I had a play with it last night and came up with these three; the first was a test to try out the video gif maker and the other two are created from existing photos.
Then this afternoon, I couldn’t resist having another go, before I began this week’s SoCS post, (which I still have to write after this one) and I decided to try a doodle.
See what you think…
Right, I’d better get on with actually writing something, see you later…

Wow! I wonder if it’s possible to turn a gif into a badge without crashing everyone’s computers, because that JusJoJan gif is awesome!
P.S. I’m calling you Max Headroom from now on.

That is pretty much a badge as it is. Just paste the gif code into the editor and WordPress does the rest, just like embedding a video.
And being called Max Headroom is the ultimate compliment, I’m a huge fan. A good friend of mine worked on the original live action shows, doing SFX and I’ve seen every show he made. Matt Frewer is one of Canada’s great gifts to the world.

It’s the crashing (or slowing down) people’s computers I worry about. I had complaints about the falling snow…
I figured the Max Headroom comment had a fifty-fifty chance of going either way. Glad it wasn’t the “OMG shut up!!” direction. π Matt Frewer’s a gem. π

Don’t be surprised if it’s a SoCSunday this week, it’s five thirty and I haven’t even cooked dinner yet.
I know, ME, sidetracked, go figure…

Those are really cool! I really like the last one with the drawing/writing on the page. Where do you find how to do these?

It’s easy, just look for “gif maker” on Google.
Giphy is a good online place to start, they do tutorials.
I’ve made quite a few in the past, but haven’t been able to find a good app for ages, they keep getting bugs and too many ads.

Giphy is good, it’s a site specifically designed to make gifs. You can even use YouTube clips…
