Just Jot It January: Day thirty one…

31 Jan

It’s finally reached the end!
I’ve made it through Just Jot It January, having posted once or more for every day this month and to celebrate, I’ve composed a calming little tune to chill out to.

So may I present the world premier of Janjot, which you can listen to by clicking the link below, (Go on, click it, it’s the only way I can get it into the post, so there’s no point in you coming all the way here and then not listening to at least SOME of it, is there?) because you never know, you might like it.

Thank you to the superhuman efforts of Linda G Hill for curating JJIJ, I don’t know how she finds the time.
And thank you for letting me into your busy lives every day this month, normal service may well return tomorrow; who knows…?

I liked Janjot and took note of the rising action at about 1:53 then from there it rocked. Congrats on JusJoJan

Thanks John, glad you liked it. I’m already planning on remixing it to include more of the rhythmic element in a longer version, so stay tuned…

Cheers, took me about three hours, including programming the percussion tracks. The rest is all played and recorded “live”, so to speak, in one take. So I just make it up as I go along and hope I don’t fuck anything up, hahaha.
I have no musical ability I can’t actually “play” anything, it’s all done through waveform manipulation and auto-tune I’m afraid, but you can still get amazing results. I should imagine that a proper musician could get incredible music out of it.

If you hadn’t told me, I’d never have known it was manipulations and auto-tunes! Still something to be quite proud of since you were doing it for such a wonderful purpose đŸ™‚

It’s still all original sounds and tunes created by me, there are no presets used. It’s just not played in a conventional way, that’s all.
