#atozchallenge: C is for Cooper…

04 Apr

It’s finally happened; I have a theme!

I didn’t want anything that takes too long each day, so I thought I’d pick something I can do as little or as much as I fancy with, depending on the time I have spare.

Ok, it was a bit of a late decision (because I only thought of it this evening) but since I already featured one post which fits into the theme, I’m using this year’s A-Z Challenge to crowbar in a B-Z of Twin Peaks.

It might even include some more sweaterisation, Woolhouse style, but don’t worry, I’m not going full nerd on you, it’s just a way to allow me to cheat my way through another month of blogging every day.

Yesterday’s post dropped John Justice Wheeler into the “B” slot, with Mr Billy Zane providing the titular initial and today it’s the turn of the main man, Dale Cooper.

FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper comes to Twin Peaks to work with local law enforcement when the town’s homecoming queen is murdered. His detection techniques are unconventional, his motives may not be all they seem and his very presence is arguably the catalyst for a great deal of Lynchian unpleasantness. And yet Cooper is almost impossible to dislike; his apparently innocent nature and dry humour, mixed with the mystical action man shtick is very appealing and it is the continuation of his story that fans will be most interested in when the show returns in May.

Here’s his Woolhouse portrait.
