K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

03 Jul

Monday is here again and that means only one thing on Diary of an Internet Nobody, it’s time for another edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

K’lee picked the theme on Friday and it was a good one; Alien Artifacts.

Now, this one stumped me, I don’t mind telling you. I mean, not many of us have bits of junk from extraterrestrial civilisations lying around the place, just in case we need to use them for a photo prompt.

So I was pleased when I was struck by inspiration while working in the garden yesterday, (well, while Rhonda was working in the garden and I was writing my SoCS post in the sunshine) as I looked at the decorative gravel I bought to form a miniature “faux-pond” in a circle of rocks.

It did look like it might be from the surface of an distant planet, so if I could just find something which would look suitably alien to bury in it, hmmmm….

Five minutes poking around in Audrey’s toy box later, plus a bit of digital fiddling and hey presto, three versions of the last resting place of an unknown and unfortunate alien cyborg from a galaxy far, far away.

See K’lee’s masterpiece HERE.

Now let’s see what your imagination conjured up for us.
To get involved with the challenge, post a photo to your blog on Monday, add a pingback to this post (or to K’lee’s) and don’t forget to tag your post #CosPhoChal.

Alternatively, add a link to your blog in the comments of either mine or K’lee’s post and we’ll come and check out your entry.
Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Wow! These are phenomenal! I didn’t think I had enough ‘real artifacts’ to go for it, so I chose the otherworldly bend. Great job!
