K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend and that K’lee’s prompt of Black and white landscapes gave you plenty of inspiration for today’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Fortunately it was a beautiful day yesterday, so I ventured out onto the windy hillsides above the Taw valley, up to the Fullabrook Down wind farm, where the majestic structures of the wind turbines add an extra presence to the landscape.

I got some fine shots of the low morning sun, shining across the wooded valley and I mucked about with some long exposure shots of the turbine blades in motion (more of which can be seen over at Photo Sans Frontiers) giving them a dandelion-like appearance:

And just because I can, another gif:

Now it’s time for you to show us what you’ve come up with.

You can see K’lee’s photo HERE.

Cosmic Photo prompt…

It’s the weekend, which means it’s time to provide you with some inspiration for Monday’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week it’s K’lee’s turn to pick the theme and he’s gone with; Landscapes in black and white so get your creative mojo working and give us some monochrome masterpieces to start the week.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Welcome to another new week and another new edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, the theme of which was set by K’lee on Friday and he asked you to come up with one photo from the daytime and two from the night.

I went for a straightforward black and white shot for my daylight option, snapped in the garden over the weekend, followed by a couple I took last night, from above and next to a road respectively, using a long exposure to capture the trails of car lights.

Cat tail…

…to car trails; first seen from a flyover…

…and then reflected in the side of my car

K’lee’s photo is HERE, so go and check it out, then show us what you have to offer.

Update: Bonus photo – This is what it looks like if you stick a camera to your windscreen and drive around town in the dark for half an hour with a long exposure…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Good morning (or afternoon, depending on your timezone) and welcome to this week’s installment of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, with today’s theme chosen by me.

I picked Contrast, giving you free reign to choose your subject and interpret the prompt pretty much however you like.

For my contribution, I’ve taken yet more photos of our ever-evolving Mound; the focal point of our garden and the subject of the weekend’s work in the sunshine. I’ve chosen to use black and white, to highlight the difference in the texture and form between the various plants and the decorative features.

Check out K’lee’s photos of the day, HERE.

Fifty shades of grey…

image

Oooh, you thought I meant that Fifty shades of grey, sorry.

Well since I’ve been doing all these photo collages, I thought that, just for once, I’d jump on a bandwagon.
I mean, why not take advantage of the world’s apparent obsession with watching someone else’s soft-core knot fetish fantasies and ride the wave of search engine confusion?

I hope you like my specially themed, original art work (at least I did make the effort to create something new for the post and didn’t just recycle some old black and white photos) but if you’re still feeling short-changed, here are a few more old recycled black and white photos monochrome images for you to enjoy.
