The twelve toons of Christmas: Day twelve…

Okay, we’ve finally reached the day when I can reveal the 2015 Diary of an Internet Nobody Christmas card.

Ho has done a fabulous job with his toons this year, not only for this run up to the Yuletide festivities, but whenever else I’ve called on his services to provide unique and amusing illustrations for blog posts.
So thank you old friend, it’s been a hoot (and I know you’ve picked up several new fans in the process; the lovely Dr Rex, for one) and I’m sure I will continue to call upon your artistic skill in the the coming year.

But for now, let’s enjoy the brilliance of all of this year’s offerings, combined with the final toon, to make a card you can print off and proudly display in your living room, to be the envy of all your friends.

Happy Christmas everyone.

The twelve toons of Christmas: Day eleven…

So, the Christmas shopping is done, the presents are wrapped, the decorations are up and there’s only one card I haven’t posted yet.
The bespoke Diary of an Internet Nobody greetings card, created by Ho for your seasonal enjoyment, will arrive here tomorrow, but for now here’s his final daily toon for this year, a slightly suspect Santa.

Be careful what you wish for…

The twelve toons of Christmas: Day ten…

With only three sleeps left until the big day, we are down to the final festive trio of toons, the last of which will double as this year’s seasonal greeting card from the blog to you, my lovely readers.

For this, his pen-penultimate offering, Ho has provided us with a crazy Christmas canine to brighten a decidedly damp and drizzly December day.

Woof.

The twelve toons of Christmas: Day nine…

Today we enter the final phase of our festive frolic in the cartoon countdown to Christmas.
Who needs nine ladies dancing when you can have one existentially insecure bird on a fork?

Nobody, that’s who.

The twelve toons of Christmas: Day eight…

For the eighth day of toon-mas, my friend Ho sent to me,
A snow-covered festive piggy.

Of course.

The twelve toons of Christmas: Day seven…

In a week’s time it’ll all be over.
We’ll be sitting around, belching turkey fumes and listening to the kids break their new toys, whilst they argue over the last bag of chocolate coins on the tree.
Someone will suggest going for “a nice bracing walk” and be roundly abused for their trouble.
And Father Christmas will hang up his sack for another year.

But before all that there are six more days of festive toonery to enjoy, courtesy of blog artist extraordinaire, the marvellous Ho.

So this morning, as the embarrassing events of a thousand office parties sidle into countless throbbing heads and tap ashamed and cringing memory banks on the shoulder, wishing to talk about that ill-advised karaoke version of Fairytale of New York you did with the boss last night, here’s a speeding Santa Claus to brighten the penultimate Saturday of 2015.

The twelve toons of Christmas: Day six…

It’s “Factory Friday” 2015, which brings us to the halfway point in our Christmas cartoon countdown and today’s Ho ho ho from Ho is a fine example of the less-is-more school of illustration, showing that sometimes, a simple sketch is just as effective as an ornate masterpiece.

Have a mice day folks…
