K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Another Monday dawns and another edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge arrives, to help you start your week with a warm domestic glow.

K’lee set us the theme of Home is where the heart is on Friday and, since we spend more time in the living/dining room of our small flat than anywhere else, I’d consider that the heart of our home. It’s also the place that reflects the various things that make us all happy.

You’ll see books by favourite authors, pieces of Audrey’s artwork, family photo albums, my personal copy of The Wrong Stuff, Audrey Hepburn memorabilia, my Golden Face Palm Award, CDs, DVDs, a giant “R” for Rhonda and a solar powered Thanksgiving turkey, obviously.

There’s Audrey, sporting the very first of the gorgeous Woolhouse Boys t-shirts, which I had printed for (and posted to) fellow geeks around the world this week, and there she is relaxing, playing Minecraft yesterday afternoon.

And it wouldn’t be the Cosmic Photo Challenge without a bit of digital fiddling, so I’m ending with a pair of googly eyes made from our living room ceiling lights.

You can get an insight into K’lee’s crib, HERE

Why not welcome us into your place first, though…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Hello and welcome to Monday and a new edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, this week curated by yours truly.

I chose the prompt on Friday; Birds and Bees, which loosely incorporated the theme of anything with the ability to fly.

I have an awful lot of bird and insect photos in my archives and I was sorting through posts at the weekend, (to pick a selection to transfer over to Photo Sans Frontiers, freeing up valuable space during my upcoming blog transition) so I thought I’d start by sharing some of my favourites…

…followed by these new shots, which I captured in the garden at the weekend.

K’lee’s post is winging its way to you via THIS LINK

Now, let’s have a look at your birds, bugs and beasties…

Cosmic Photo prompt…

On time once again for the Friday prompt, to give you some guidance for the next edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, which is using my choice of theme this week; Birds and bees.

Anything with wings will do, bugs and bats are just as acceptable, so let your imagination soar and seek out some avian and insectile inspiration for Monday’s post.

Picture this: Creating our new garden…

Well here’s a thing; I’ve just discovered that I have run out of media upload storage space on Diary of an Internet Nobody and the only way I can currently think of to share photos is by linking from Photo Sans Frontiers, as I am doing here.

If anyone else has had this problem and has any suggestions what I can do about it, please let me know, as I’m at a bit of a loss how to proceed.

In the meantime, here are some nice pictures of the garden.

Photo Sans Frontiers

I’ve missed a few posts onDiary of an Internet Nobodyrecently, most notably a couple ofSoCSepisodes, due to spending my weekend writing time working on the layout and planting of our new garden.

We had a pretty clean slate to work with when we moved in, just two months ago, with a couple of large shrubs and a good sized shuttlecock fern in one of the beds that border each side of the lawn(which still needs levelling and re-seeding)but otherwise empty and ready for inspiration.

We first cleared the right hand side of the garden as you look out from the back door, as it was overgrown with wild geraniums, vinca and aquilegia. Then I went on a couple of garden centre bargain hunts, tracking down a varied(and, more importantly, cheap)selection of bedding plants and some more unusual specimens to add a bit…

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

Welcome to a slightly late edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge; due to me having technical issues with a beta version of the post editor I’m trialling for WordPress.

I still had time to muck about with a few photos while I was trying to sort out the upload problem, so let’s take a look at my trio of offerings on the theme of; The Power in Threes, chosen by K’lee on Friday.

I decided to go with using everyday objects to make something artistic, this time arranging three of our retro-designed dinner plates in various patterns to make a triptych of abstract images.

You can see what K’lee has created by clicking the link HERE, but now let’s see what you’ve come up with.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

I missed Stream of Consciousness Sunday yesterday, because I got caught up in working on our new garden with Rhonda, but I did manage to do some photographic tinkering for today’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

I picked Faces for the theme this week and I had originally been thinking; Hmmm, what else has a face..?, which led me to create this…

…but Audrey and I went to the Pride celebrations in Bideford on Saturday, where she had her face painted and we went on the Waltzer together, (about which, more in a moment) so I thought I’d turn these two photos…

…into this surreal composite image.

Audrey is currently obsessed with all manner of screechingly annoying teenage YouTube “stars” and is always excited at any chance to play at being a YouTuber herself, so she was thrilled when I uploaded this video of the two of us on the Waltzer on Saturday.

I apologise for the clip being shot in the incorrect aspect ratio, (usually a pet peeve of mine) but it was hard enough to hold my phone steady as it was, what with Audrey alternately laughing and screaming in my ear the whole time.

And to tie into the whole faces theme, she pulls a very comprehensive selection for the camera.
Enjoy.

K’lee has a link to his post HERE.

Now show us what you have to offer.

Cosmic Photo prompt…

Time for your weekly dose of inspiration, providing the prompt for Monday’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, today chosen by me.

This week I’m giving you the chance to showcase your photographic skills with; Faces.

I think that’s fairly self-explanatory, but don’t let me restrict you to the obvious, feel free to interpret the prompt however you wish.
