March of the Internet Nobody, day five: A blustery Sunday in the park…

It’s time for me to take the fifth. The fifth foray into my month long blogging adventure, that is.

Although by coincidence, I’m going to shut up and show you some pretty pictures today, which I took during a stroll round Barnstaple’s Rock park this morning. It’s somewhere I return to again and again to take photos, but I like the subtle changes the seasons bring to the scenery along the banks of the river Taw and I never fail to find a new perspective, whenever I visit.

Here are a few shots of my blustery walk, I hope you enjoy them.

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge…

At first I thought K’lee’s choice of theme for this week’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge was a case of wishful thinking, when he picked; Signs of Spring’s Return.

But after a quick perusal of our small garden in yesterday’s grey winter light, I concluded that K’lee’s optimism was well founded as there are many new shoots and indications of returning life.

See for yourself…

K’lee has sprung into action and his gorgeous post is now HERE for your viewing pleasure.

Now it’s time for you to show us your green shoots of inspiration…

*****

To get involved with the challenge, post a photo to your blog on Monday, add a pingback to this post (or to K’lee’s) and don’t forget to tag your post #CosPhoChal.

Alternatively, add a link to your blog in the comments of either mine or K’lee’s post and we’ll come and check out your entry.
Any and all effects, editing, Photoshop, Instagram, morphing, collages or whatever other post production techniques you fancy are permitted, (in fact, they’re actively encouraged!) so get creative and turn your photos into artworks for the Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Cosmic Photo prompt…

It’s K’lee’s turn to set the prompt for next Monday’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge and he’s picked a seasonal theme, (well, almost) asking that you feature; Signs of Spring’s Return.

So, whether that constitutes a lengthening of daylight hours, the melting of snow, green shoots beginning to appear, cute baby lambs frolicking in the sunshine or something completely different; this is your chance to Spring a surprise on us.

Picture this: The promise of Spring…

For the first time this year, it finally feels like Spring has sprung and, with the second of two days of glorious sunshine this weekend, it was a perfect day for a stroll in the park.

I’d been wanting an excuse to play with my new camera anyway…

Photo Sans Frontiers Showcase: Madilyn Leonard Benrubi / Yun Yi…

For this, the third post showcasing photography uploaded to my Photo Sans Frontiers Fb page, I’ve chosen to compile pictures by two contributors, both of whom I initially met on a blog sharing site and have subsequently become friends with on Facebook.

Madilyn Leonard Benrubi, born in New Jersey and author of the blog Jersey Lil’s 2 Cents, now lives in Maryland and regularly posts beautifully captured pictures that show the changing seasons and passing wildlife that visits her garden in Rockville.
I love photographing birds myself, so I’ve picked several of Madilyn’s avian subjects, along with a couple of great shots of the moon for her first guest appearance, I hope you enjoy the pictures I’ve chosen.

Cardinals, American robins, cedar waxwings and starlings are clearly regular visitors to the trees and shrubs…

Yun Yi, originally from Chongqing in China but now living in Durham, North Carolina, writes the blog Human Without God and her gorgeous naturalistic photos of the woodland landscapes and lakeside vistas around her home always make me want to explore the hidden pathways through the trees, leading who knows where…
